Natasha Brofsky is a renowned cellist and music educator who has made a significant impact on the classical music scene. Born in New York City in 1970, Brofsky grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, a violinist, and her mother, a pianist, instilled in her a love of music from an early age. Brofsky began playing the cello at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Brofsky's early musical education was guided by her parents, who were both accomplished musicians. She attended the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division, where she studied with Harvey Shapiro.
