Andrei Ionita is a Romanian cellist who has quickly risen to prominence in the classical music world. Born on August 27, 1994, in Bucharest, Romania, Ionita began playing the cello at the age of seven. At the age of 16, Ionita won the First Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Moscow, Russia.
