Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1983, Miura began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied with some of the most distinguished teachers in Japan, including Hiroko Nakamura and Akiko Ebi, and went on to earn degrees from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in Germany. Miura's career as a concert pianist began to take off in the early 2000s, when she won several prestigious competitions, including the 2002 Japan Music Competition and the 2004 International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy. These victories brought her to the attention of music critics and concert promoters, and she soon began to receive invitations to perform in major concert halls around the world. One of Miura's most notable performances came in 2006, when she made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
