Born in Ottawa, Canada in 1973, Few grew up in a musical family and began playing the piano at a young age. He later took up the trumpet and quickly showed a talent for the instrument. Few studied at the University of Toronto and the Juilliard School in New York City, where he honed his skills as a performer and composer. He has since performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. One of Few's most notable performances was his debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2001, where he performed the world premiere of his own composition, "Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra." The piece was well-received by both audiences and critics, and Few has since performed it with several other orchestras around the world.
