Insieme Strumentale di Roma is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1983 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Rome, Italy, and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances of both classical and contemporary music. The founding members of Insieme Strumentale di Roma were all graduates of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, and they were united by a desire to explore the rich and diverse repertoire of chamber music. The ensemble began as a quartet, with violinists Carlo Lazari and Marco Serino, violist Massimo Marin and cellist Francesco Storino. Over the years, the ensemble has expanded to include a range of instruments, and its membership has changed as musicians have come and gone.
