Born on August 22, 1975, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Ryelund showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of six. He grew up in a musical family, with his father being a professional cellist and his mother a pianist. Ryelund's talent for music was evident from a young age, and he quickly became a prodigy on the violin. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance. He quickly gained a reputation as a skilled and versatile musician, capable of playing a wide range of musical styles. In addition to his work as a violinist, Ryelund also began conducting, and he soon found that he had a natural talent for leading orchestras. This led to more opportunities for Ryelund as a conductor, and he soon became a sought-after guest conductor for orchestras around the world. In addition to his work as a conductor, Ryelund has also been active as an educator. He has taught violin and conducting at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, as well as at other institutions in Denmark and abroad.
