The Pestova-Meyer Piano Duo is a classical music duo consisting of pianists Xenia Pestova and Pascal Meyer. The duo was formed in 2008 and has since become one of the most sought-after piano duos in the world. Xenia Pestova was born in Russia and began playing the piano at the age of four. She later moved to Canada and studied at the University of Victoria and the University of Montreal. She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition and the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition. She has also performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Pascal Meyer was born in France and began playing the piano at the age of six. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. He has won several awards and competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Senigallia and the International Piano Competition in Epinal. He has also performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg. The duo first met while studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England. They quickly discovered a shared passion for contemporary music and began performing together as the Pestova-Meyer Piano Duo. They have since performed at many of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
