From a young age, Flint showed a natural talent for music, and he began playing the piano at the age of four. Flint's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue music seriously. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Maria Rodriguez, at the age of six. Under her guidance, Flint quickly developed his skills and began performing in public at the age of eight. Flint's talent was soon recognized by the wider music community, and he was invited to perform at various concerts and competitions. At the age of ten, he won first prize in the New York State Piano Competition, and at the age of twelve, he was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Flint continued to excel in his musical studies, and he was accepted into the Juilliard School of Music at the age of sixteen.
