Born in Almería, Spain in 1975, Coves began playing the guitar at the age of six, under the guidance of his father, who was also a guitarist. Coves showed exceptional talent from a young age, and by the time he was a teenager, he had already won several national and international competitions. In 1993, he was awarded first prize at the prestigious Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition in Granada, Spain, which launched his career as a professional musician. Over the years, Coves has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, collaborating with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. He has also recorded several critically acclaimed albums, showcasing his versatility and mastery of the classical guitar.
