Quicksilver is a classical music ensemble that specializes in the performance of Baroque music. The ensemble was founded in 2011 by violinist Robert Mealy and harpsichordist Avi Stein. Quicksilver has performed at many of the world's leading early music festivals, including the Boston Early Music Festival, the Berkeley Early Music Festival, and the Utrecht Early Music Festival. The ensemble has also performed at major concert halls and venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Royal Albert Hall. One of Quicksilver's most notable performances was its 2014 concert at the Boston Early Music Festival, where the ensemble performed a program of music by the Italian composer Giovanni Gabrieli. The concert was praised for its virtuosic playing and innovative programming, which included a mix of instrumental and vocal music.
