Minoru Nojima is a renowned classical pianist from Japan, known for his exceptional technique and musicality. He was born on December 12, 1949, in Kobe, Japan, and began playing the piano at the age of four. His parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in the Yamaha Music School, where he received his early musical education. Nojima's talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly rose through the ranks of the Yamaha Music School. He won numerous competitions and awards, including the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation Scholarship, which allowed him to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. At Juilliard, Nojima studied under the renowned pianist Rosina Lhevinne, who recognized his talent and helped him develop his technique and musicality. He also studied with other notable pianists, including György Sándor and Adele Marcus. Nojima's talent and hard work paid off, and he quickly established himself as a rising star in the classical music world. He won numerous competitions, including the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1978, where he was awarded the silver medal.
