Timothy Amherst was born on May 15, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Timothy showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. As a child, Timothy was enrolled in the Royal Academy of Music's Junior Department, where he received formal training in piano performance.
