Francois Petit was born on May 15, 1985, in Paris, France. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Francois showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Francois received his formal music education at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied under the tutelage of some of the most renowned pianists of the time. He quickly established himself as a prodigious talent, winning numerous awards and accolades for his performances. In 2005, Francois made his debut performance at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City, where he received a standing ovation for his rendition of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14.
