Elim Chan is a rising star in the world of classical music. Born in Hong Kong in 1986, Chan showed an early interest in music and began studying piano at the age of three. She later took up the cello and the trumpet, but it was conducting that captured her imagination. Chan attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree in conducting.
