Ensemble Villanella is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1997 in the Netherlands. The ensemble is known for its unique blend of early music and contemporary music, and its performances have been praised for their virtuosity and musicality. The founding members of Ensemble Villanella were recorder player Erik Bosgraaf and harpsichordist Francesco Corti. One of the highlights of Ensemble Villanella's career was their performance of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 2006. The ensemble's interpretation of these iconic works was praised for its energy, precision, and musicality. Another notable performance by Ensemble Villanella was their collaboration with the Dutch National Ballet in 2010.
