John Forsell was born on May 15, 1985, in Stockholm, Sweden. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Forsell showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Forsell's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed a passion for classical music. By the age of ten, Forsell had already performed in several concerts and had won several local competitions. In 1997, Forsell was accepted into the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most renowned pianists in Sweden. During his time at the college, Forsell participated in several competitions and won numerous awards, including the prestigious Steinway Prize for Young Pianists. After completing his studies at the Royal College of Music, Forsell moved to London to further his education. He enrolled at the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of the renowned pianist, Christopher Elton. During his time at the academy, Forsell continued to excel, winning several awards and competitions, including the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship. In 2008, Forsell graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Master of Music degree. He then embarked on a career as a concert pianist, performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world. Forsell's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. He has a particular affinity for the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Beethoven, and has performed their compositions to critical acclaim. One of Forsell's most memorable performances was at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2012. He performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the London Symphony Orchestra, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. Forsell has also performed at several international music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the Verbier Festival. He has collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to his performances, Forsell is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught at several music schools and universities around the world, including the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and the Juilliard School in New York. Forsell's contributions to the world of classical music have not gone unnoticed. He has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the Royal Philharmonic Society's Young Artist Award and the Gramophone Classical Music Award for Best Instrumental Recording.
