His father was a renowned pianist, and his mother was a violinist. From a young age, Giancarlo was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Giancarlo's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. By the age of ten, Giancarlo had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigy. At the age of twelve, Giancarlo was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. After graduating from the conservatory, Giancarlo continued his studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and conductor, Antonio Pappano, and continued to hone his skills as a pianist. During his time at the academy, Giancarlo participated in several masterclasses with some of the world's most renowned pianists, including Martha Argerich and Maurizio Pollini. In 2005, Giancarlo made his debut as a soloist with the Milan Symphony Orchestra. He performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, and his performance was met with critical acclaim. This performance marked the beginning of Giancarlo's career as a soloist, and he quickly gained recognition as one of the most talented young pianists in Italy. Over the next few years, Giancarlo continued to perform as a soloist with orchestras throughout Italy and Europe.
