The Tivoli Concert Hall Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The orchestra was founded in 1843 by composer and conductor Hans Christian Lumbye, who served as its first conductor until his death in 1874. The orchestra was originally known as the Tivoli Gardens Orchestra, as it was formed to provide music for the Tivoli Gardens amusement park in Copenhagen. Over the years, the Tivoli Concert Hall Orchestra has become one of Denmark's most renowned classical music ensembles, known for its high-quality performances and innovative programming. The orchestra has performed with some of the world's most celebrated soloists and conductors, and has toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia. The Tivoli Concert Hall Orchestra is made up of approximately 80 musicians, including strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. The orchestra's current conductor is Nikolaj Znaider, who took over the position in 2017.
