After completing his undergraduate studies, Mack continued his education at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned a Master of Music degree in trumpet performance. During his time at Juilliard, Mack studied with some of the most renowned trumpet players in the world, including Wynton Marsalis and Philip Smith. He also had the opportunity to perform with the Juilliard Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Mack's talent and hard work paid off when he won the position of principal trumpet with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in 1995. He held this position for six years, during which time he performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Mack's performances were always well-received, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented trumpet players of his generation. In 2001, Mack left the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to pursue a solo career. He has since performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world, including the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Ravinia Festival.
