The Gavleborg Symphony Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Gävle, Sweden. The orchestra was founded in 1912 and has since become one of the most renowned orchestras in Sweden. The orchestra's founding can be traced back to the early 20th century when a group of music enthusiasts in Gävle decided to form an orchestra. The group was led by the conductor and composer Tor Aulin, who served as the orchestra's first conductor.
