Marcel Rosca is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 15, 1985, in Bucharest, Romania, Rosca showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Rosca's musical journey began at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where he studied piano under the guidance of Professor Viniciu Moroianu. He later went on to study at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance. During his studies, Rosca participated in numerous competitions and won several awards, including the First Prize at the National Piano Competition in Bucharest in 2003 and the Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in Sinaia in 2004. After completing his studies, Rosca continued to hone his skills and gain experience by participating in various music festivals and competitions. In 2006, he won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and in 2007, he was awarded the Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in San Marino. Rosca's talent and dedication to music soon caught the attention of renowned musicians and conductors, and he was invited to perform with several orchestras, including the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cluj-Napoca Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra. He also performed in numerous recitals and concerts throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. One of Rosca's most notable performances was his debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2010. He performed a solo recital, which received critical acclaim from the audience and the press. The New York Times praised his "impeccable technique and musicality," and the New York Concert Review described his performance as "a revelation." Rosca's repertoire includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. In addition to his performances, Rosca is also a dedicated teacher and mentor.
