In 1980, he joined the BBC as a producer and presenter for BBC Radio 2's "The Organist Entertains" program, which he hosted for over 20 years. As a composer, Nigel has written numerous works for the organ, including preludes, fugues, and sonatas. His compositions are known for their intricate harmonies and use of counterpoint. One of his most famous works is the "Organ Sonata No. 1," which was premiered in 1985 and has since been performed by organists around the world. In addition to his work as a composer, Nigel is also a renowned organist and has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral in London. He has also recorded several albums of organ music, including "The Organist Entertains" and "Organist Nigel Ogden Plays the Wurlitzer."
