Peter Moore is a British classical musician who has made a name for himself as a trombonist. Born on December 14, 1996, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, Moore began playing the trombone at the age of four. He grew up in a musical family, with his father being a professional trumpet player and his mother a music teacher. Moore's talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly became a sought-after performer. At the age of 12, he became the youngest ever winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, which is considered one of the most prestigious awards for young classical musicians in the UK. This win catapulted him into the spotlight and opened up many doors for him in the classical music world. Moore continued to hone his craft and went on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. During his time there, he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the European Union Youth Orchestra. He also won the college's prestigious Concerto Competition, which gave him the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the college's symphony orchestra. After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music, Moore began his professional career as a trombonist. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also worked with renowned conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Valery Gergiev, and Daniel Harding. One of the highlights of Moore's career came in 2018 when he was invited to perform as a soloist at the Last Night of the Proms, which is one of the most prestigious classical music events in the world. The Last Night of the Proms is the culmination of the BBC Proms, an eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually in London.
