Frithjof Smith was born on May 12, 1985, in Oslo, Norway. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Frithjof showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Frithjof's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, displaying an exceptional ability to interpret and perform classical music. By the age of ten, Frithjof had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. During his time at the institute, Frithjof honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music, studying the works of composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin. Frithjof's talent and dedication paid off when he won the Norwegian National Piano Competition in 2001, at the age of sixteen. In 2003, Frithjof was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he continued his studies under the tutelage of renowned pianist Christopher Elton. During his time in London, Frithjof had the opportunity to perform at some of the city's most prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and the Wigmore Hall. Frithjof's international career took off in 2005, when he won the top prize at the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
