Born on May 22, 1991, in Vilnius, Lithuania, Alekna showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with some of the best teachers in Lithuania. As a child, Alekna was fascinated by the works of classical composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, and Mozart. He spent countless hours practicing and studying their music, and by the time he was a teenager, he had already won several awards for his performances. In 2007, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Vilnius, and in 2008, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Kaunas. Alekna's talent and dedication to his craft continued to grow, and he soon began to attract the attention of music professionals around the world. In 2010, he was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Moscow, where he received rave reviews for his performance of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1. The following year, he was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Paris, where he wowed audiences with his rendition of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14. Over the years, Alekna has continued to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to his performances, Alekna has also gained recognition for his compositions. He has written several pieces for piano, as well as chamber music and orchestral works.
