Hanna Shybayeva is a classical pianist who was born on October 3, 1979, in Minsk, Belarus. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a piano teacher and her father a violinist. At the age of six, Hanna began taking piano lessons and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Hanna's family moved to the Netherlands when she was 12 years old, and she continued her musical education at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She studied under the guidance of Naum Grubert, a renowned pianist and teacher, and graduated with honors in 2003. After completing her studies, Hanna began performing extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra. One of the highlights of Hanna's career was her performance at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2010. She received critical acclaim for her interpretation of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and the New York Times praised her "impressive technique and musicality." Hanna has also won several awards and competitions throughout her career. In 2002, she won first prize at the Princess Christina Competition in the Netherlands, and in 2004, she was awarded the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship. She has also been a finalist in the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition and the International Piano Competition in Santander. In addition to her solo performances, Hanna is also an avid chamber musician. She has collaborated with numerous musicians and ensembles, including the Jerusalem Quartet and the Netherlands Wind Ensemble. She is a member of the Dutch Chamber Music Company and the Duo Bilitis, a piano and flute duo. Hanna is known for her versatility and ability to perform a wide range of repertoire. She has recorded several albums, including a collection of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and a recording of contemporary works by Dutch composers.
