Benjamin Coelho is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Coelho's parents were both musicians, and they encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Coelho's early musical education was at the Brazilian Conservatory of Music in Rio de Janeiro. He later moved to the United States to further his studies, attending the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree. He then went on to earn a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas. Throughout his career, Coelho has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. One of Coelho's most significant achievements was winning the International Double Reed Society's Young Artist Competition in 2003. This competition is highly competitive and is open to bassoonists under the age of 22. Coelho's win was a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft. Coelho has also been recognized for his teaching abilities.
