She was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1982, and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her family moved to the UK when she was eight years old, and she continued her musical education there. Gavric studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree with first-class honors. She then went on to study at the Royal College of Music, where she earned a Master of Music degree with distinction. During her time at these institutions, she received numerous awards and scholarships, including the Guildhall School Trust Award, the Leverhulme Trust Scholarship, and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Award. Gavric's career as a professional pianist began to take off in the early 2000s. She won the Gold Medal at the Royal Overseas League Competition in 2002, which led to a series of high-profile performances in the UK and abroad. She has since performed at major venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Barbican Centre in London, as well as at festivals in Europe, Asia, and North America. Gavric has also made several critically acclaimed recordings. Her debut album, "In the Mists," was released in 2011 and featured works by Janacek, Schumann, and Ravel. It received widespread praise from critics, with Gramophone magazine calling it "a debut disc of the highest order." Her subsequent albums, which have included works by Chopin, Brahms, and Schubert, have also been well-received. In addition to her solo career, Gavric is also an active chamber musician. She has collaborated with a number of renowned musicians, including cellist Natalie Clein and violinist Jennifer Pike. She is a member of the London-based Trio Apaches, which also includes violinist Matthew Trusler and cellist Thomas Carroll.
