Elena Bashkirova is a renowned classical pianist and chamber musician. She was born on October 10, 1958, in Moscow, Russia, into a family of musicians. Her father, Dmitri Bashkirov, was a famous pianist and professor at the Moscow Conservatory, and her mother, Elena Kuznetsova, was a violinist. From a young age, Bashkirova was exposed to music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Bashkirova's talent was quickly recognized, and she began studying at the Moscow Conservatory at the age of seven. She studied under some of the most prominent piano teachers in Russia, including Lev Naumov and Tatiana Nikolayeva. She graduated from the conservatory with honors in 1983. After graduation, Bashkirova began performing extensively throughout Russia and Europe.
