Irina Georgieva is a Bulgarian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born on May 5, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Irina showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both music lovers, recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Irina's talent was evident from a young age, and she quickly became a prodigy in her hometown of Sofia. She began performing in public at the age of six and won her first competition at the age of eight. Her parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied under the guidance of renowned Bulgarian pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Stella Dimitrova. Under Prof. Dimitrova's tutelage, Irina's talent flourished, and she quickly became one of the most promising young pianists in Bulgaria. She won numerous competitions and awards, including the National Piano Competition "Svetoslav Obretenov" and the International Piano Competition "Young Virtuosos." Her exceptional talent and musicality were recognized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, which awarded her a scholarship to study at the prestigious Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia. In Moscow, Irina studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Mikhail Voskresensky. She quickly established herself as one of the top students in the conservatory and won numerous awards and competitions, including the International Piano Competition "Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte" in Czech Republic and the International Piano Competition "Citta di Barletta" in Italy. After completing her studies in Moscow, Irina moved to the United States to further her musical education. She enrolled in the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Boris Slutsky. At Peabody, Irina honed her skills and developed her unique musical voice, which combines technical virtuosity with emotional depth and sensitivity. Since graduating from Peabody, Irina has established herself as one of the most exciting young pianists on the international stage. She has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in Germany. She has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Irina's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musicality. She has been described as a "pianist of rare talent and sensitivity" by The New York Times and a "virtuoso with a heart" by The Guardian. Her recordings have received critical acclaim and have been featured on radio stations and music streaming platforms around the world. In addition to her performing career, Irina is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses and workshops at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia.
