In 1968, Vladimir graduated from the Prague Conservatory with honors and began his professional career as a concert pianist. Throughout his career, Vladimir was known for his passionate and expressive performances. He had a unique ability to connect with his audience and bring the music to life. One of Vladimir's most significant achievements was his performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1975. The performance was a huge success, and Vladimir received critical acclaim for his interpretation of the piece. The performance was recorded and released as an album, which went on to become one of the best-selling classical music albums of all time. Over the course of his career, Vladimir received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to classical music. In 1982, he was awarded the prestigious Order of Merit by the Czech Republic for his outstanding achievements in the field of music.
