Period:BaroqueContemporaryTony Boutté is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself in the world of opera and concert performances. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1974, Boutté grew up in a family that valued music and the arts. His mother was a pianist, and his father was a jazz musician, so it was no surprise that Boutté developed a love for music at a young age. Boutté began his formal music education at Loyola University in New Orleans, where he studied vocal performance. He then went on to earn a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. During his time at the conservatory, Boutté had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected vocal coaches and conductors in the industry, including William McGraw, Kenneth Shaw, and Earl Rivers. After completing his studies, Boutté began his professional career as a soloist with the Cincinnati Opera. He quickly gained recognition for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, and soon began receiving invitations to perform with other opera companies across the country. Some of his most notable performances include his portrayal of the title role in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" with the New Orleans Opera, and his performance as the Duke in Verdi's "Rigoletto" with the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. In addition to his work in opera, Boutté has also made a name for himself as a concert performer. He has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also been a featured soloist at numerous music festivals, including the Tanglewood Music Festival and the Ravinia Festival. Throughout his career, Boutté has received numerous awards and accolades for his work as a classical music artist. In 2002, he was awarded the Richard Tucker Career Grant, which is given annually to an American singer who is on the verge of a major international career. He has also been a recipient of the George London Foundation Award, the Sullivan Foundation Award, and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Despite his many accomplishments, Boutté remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to work tirelessly to perfect his vocal technique and to bring his unique interpretation to each performance. His passion for music and his commitment to excellence have made him one of the most respected and sought-after classical music artists of his generation.More....
