Anna Zentay was born on May 12, 1985, in Budapest, Hungary. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Anna showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Anna's parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest when she was just six years old. She studied under some of the most renowned violin teachers in Hungary, including Vilmos Szabadi and Eszter Perényi. Anna's talent and dedication to her craft quickly became apparent, and she began winning awards and competitions at a young age. In 1996, at the age of 11, she won first prize at the National Violin Competition in Hungary. She went on to win several other competitions, including the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany, and the International Violin Competition in Novosibirsk, Russia. Anna's success in competitions led to opportunities to perform with orchestras around the world. In 2001, she made her debut with the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra, performing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. In 2007, she formed a chamber music trio with pianist Zoltán Fejérvári and cellist István Várdai. The trio performed together for several years, and their recordings were well-received by critics. In addition to her performances, Anna has also been recognized for her contributions to the world of classical music.
