Filippo Ravizza was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Ravizza showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Ravizza's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires, at the age of six. Under her guidance, Ravizza developed a deep understanding and appreciation for classical music. At the age of 12, Ravizza made his debut performance at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. The performance was a huge success, and Ravizza received critical acclaim for his technical skill and musicality. Over the next few years, Ravizza continued to perform at various venues across Italy, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He also began to gain international recognition, performing in countries such as France, Germany, and the United States. In 2003, Ravizza won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland.
