Marianna Prjevalskaya is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with her virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Moscow, Russia in 1986, Prjevalskaya began playing the piano at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied at the Moscow State Conservatory with renowned pianist and pedagogue Eliso Virsaladze, and later at the Royal College of Music in London with Dmitri Alexeev. Prjevalskaya's talent was evident from an early age, and she quickly began to make a name for herself in the classical music world. In 2001, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels, and in 2003 she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz. These early successes paved the way for a career as a soloist and chamber musician, and Prjevalskaya has since performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall. One of Prjevalskaya's most notable performances was her debut at the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2010. This competition, held every five years in Warsaw, Poland, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world, and Prjevalskaya's performance was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. She was awarded third prize in the competition, cementing her reputation as one of the most talented young pianists of her generation. Since then, Prjevalskaya has continued to perform at the highest level, collaborating with some of the world's most renowned orchestras and conductors. She has performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, among others, and has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Valery Gergiev, and Sir Simon Rattle. In addition to her work as a soloist, Prjevalskaya is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with some of the world's most renowned chamber ensembles, including the Borodin Quartet and the Jerusalem Quartet, and has collaborated with musicians such as violinist Maxim Vengerov and cellist Gautier Capuçon. Prjevalskaya's repertoire is wide-ranging, encompassing works by composers from Bach to Ligeti. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the music of Chopin, and has recorded a critically acclaimed album of his works for the Piano Classics label. Her playing is characterized by a deep musicality and a technical brilliance that allows her to bring out the nuances and subtleties of even the most complex pieces. Prjevalskaya's talent has been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In addition to her successes at the International Chopin Piano Competition and other international competitions, she has been awarded the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship and the Royal College of Music's Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Rose Bowl.
