Lakshminarayana, was a well-known violinist and music composer, and his mother, Seethalakshmi, was a veena player. Subramaniam grew up in a musical family and started learning music at a young age. Subramaniam's father was his first guru, and he started learning the violin from him when he was just two years old. He gave his first public performance at the age of six and was soon recognized as a child prodigy. He continued his music education under the guidance of other renowned musicians, including T.
