Charlotte Riedijk is a Dutch soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on December 22, 1961, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Riedijk grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a conductor and her mother was a singer, so it was only natural that Riedijk would follow in their footsteps. Riedijk began her musical training at a young age, studying piano and violin before eventually focusing on singing. She attended the Rotterdam Conservatory, where she studied with the renowned Dutch soprano Elly Ameling. After completing her studies, Riedijk began performing professionally, quickly establishing herself as a rising star in the classical music world. One of Riedijk's early breakthrough performances came in 1990, when she was chosen to sing the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" at the Salzburg Festival. The performance was a critical and commercial success, and Riedijk's powerful and expressive voice earned her widespread acclaim. Over the years, Riedijk has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras and conductors. She has worked with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
