All five members are accomplished musicians in their own right, having studied at some of the most prestigious music schools in Europe and performed with some of the world's leading orchestras and ensembles. The idea for Quintessence Saxophone Quintet was born out of a desire to explore the possibilities of the saxophone as a chamber music instrument. The members of the ensemble were all passionate about the saxophone and wanted to showcase its versatility and range in a way that had not been done before.
