In 1953, Valek made his debut as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, performing the Violin Concerto in D Major by Ludwig van Beethoven. Over the years, Valek went on to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Valek's most significant achievements was his performance of the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Dmitri Shostakovich.
