Born on June 27, 1963, in Tirana, Albania, Inva Mula-Tchako showed an early interest in music and began singing at a young age. Her father, Avni Mula, was a well-known Albanian composer, and her mother, Nexhmije Pagarusha, was a popular Albanian singer. Inva Mula-Tchako began her formal music education at the age of six when she enrolled in the Tirana Conservatory. She studied piano and voice and quickly showed a talent for both. In 1980, she won first prize at the Albanian Young Voices Competition, which launched her career as a professional singer.
