Linda Hirst is a renowned British soprano and vocal coach, known for her exceptional performances in the field of contemporary classical music. Born in 1952 in the town of Halifax, West Yorkshire, Hirst grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a very young age. Her father was a church organist, and her mother was a singer, which inspired Hirst to pursue a career in music. Hirst began her musical training at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she studied under the guidance of renowned vocal coach Frederic Cox.
