He won his first competition at the age of nine and went on to win numerous other awards and prizes throughout his teenage years. In 1998, he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he continued to hone his skills under the guidance of some of the world's most renowned violinists. After completing his studies, Cicic began to establish himself as a soloist and chamber musician, performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe and beyond. He quickly gained a reputation for his virtuosic playing and his ability to bring a fresh perspective to even the most well-known works in the classical repertoire. In addition to his work as a performer, Cicic has also made a name for himself as a conductor and music director. He has worked with a number of orchestras and ensembles, including the Academy of Ancient Music, the English Concert, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He is known for his ability to bring out the best in his fellow musicians and for his innovative interpretations of classical works. One of Cicic's most notable achievements came in 2015, when he was appointed as the music director of the Illyria Consort, a period-instrument ensemble based in London.
