Leticia Moreno is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist. Born on September 30, 1985, in Madrid, Spain, Moreno showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of three. Her parents, both musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Moreno's early training was under the guidance of her mother, who was a violin teacher. She later studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, where she was mentored by renowned violinist Zakhar Bron. Moreno also received guidance from other notable musicians such as Ruggiero Ricci, Ivry Gitlis, and Maxim Vengerov. Moreno's talent was evident from an early age, and she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. In 1995, at the age of ten, she won the National Violin Competition in Spain, and in 1997, she won the International Violin Competition "Villa de Llanes." These early successes set the stage for a promising career in music. In 2002, Moreno made her debut with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, performing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. This performance was a turning point in her career, as it marked her entry into the world of professional music. Since then, Moreno has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. One of Moreno's most notable performances was at the 2006 BBC Proms, where she performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performance was widely praised, and she received a standing ovation from the audience. This performance helped to cement Moreno's reputation as one of the most talented violinists of her generation. Moreno has also been recognized for her recordings, which have received critical acclaim. In 2010, she released an album of works by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo, which was praised for its sensitivity and virtuosity. She has also recorded works by other composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Shostakovich. In addition to her performances and recordings, Moreno is also committed to music education. She has taught masterclasses at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Juilliard School in New York.
