Born in 1957 in Paris, France, Sluchin grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a jazz musician, and his mother was a classical pianist. From a young age, Sluchin was exposed to a wide range of musical genres, which sparked his interest in music. Sluchin began his musical journey by learning to play the trumpet at the age of 10. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began to take lessons from some of the best trumpet players in France.
