VivaVoce is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1998 in Bangalore, India. The group is known for its unique blend of Indian and Western classical music, and has gained a reputation for its innovative and dynamic performances. The founding members of VivaVoce were Anil Srinivasan, a pianist and composer, and Sudha Raja, a vocalist and composer. Both musicians had a deep passion for classical music and were interested in exploring the possibilities of combining Indian and Western classical music traditions. In 2006, the group was awarded the Best Western Classical Group award at the Indian Music Academy Awards. They have also been recognized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Despite their success and recognition, VivaVoce remains committed to exploring new and innovative ways of combining Indian and Western classical music.
