Artist Info
Rebeka Rusó is a Hungarian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a talented violinist. Born on December 22, 1985, in Budapest, Hungary, Rusó grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist, so it was only natural that she would develop an interest in music at a young age. Rusó began playing the violin when she was just four years old, and by the time she was six, she was already performing in public. She studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance. Throughout her career, Rusó has won numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany. She also won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Szeged, Hungary, in 2006. Rusó has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also performed at some of the world's most prestigious music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, and the Verbier Festival. One of Rusó's most memorable performances was her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic in 2010. She performed the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Dmitri Shostakovich, and her performance was met with critical acclaim. The Berliner Zeitung praised her "brilliant technique and musicality," while the Berliner Morgenpost called her "a true virtuoso." In addition to her performances as a soloist, Rusó is also a dedicated chamber musician. She has performed with some of the world's most renowned chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. Rusó is also a passionate advocate for music education. She has taught masterclasses at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and the Juilliard School in New York City. She has also served as a mentor for young musicians through the Kronberg Academy in Germany. Despite her many accomplishments, Rusó remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to practice for several hours each day and is always looking for ways to improve her technique and musicality. She is a true inspiration to young musicians around the world and a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.More....
