Jeanette Balland was born on May 12, 1985, in Paris, France. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Balland showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Balland's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists in France and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. At the age of 12, she won first prize in the prestigious Concours National des Jeunes Violonistes, a national competition for young violinists in France. After her success in the competition, Balland began performing in concerts throughout France and Europe. She quickly gained a reputation as a rising star in the classical music world and was invited to perform with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2003, Balland made her debut at the Salzburg Festival, one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in the world. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she was praised for her technical skill and emotional depth. Over the years, Balland has continued to perform at major music festivals and venues around the world. She has collaborated with some of the most celebrated conductors and musicians in the classical music world, including Daniel Barenboim, Yo-Yo Ma, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. In addition to her performances, Balland is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. She has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Throughout her career, Balland has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to the classical music world. In 2010, she was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, one of the highest honors in France for artists and writers. She has also been awarded the Prix de la Fondation de France and the Prix de la Fondation Cziffra. Despite her success, Balland remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to push herself to new heights and inspire others with her passion for music.
