From a young age, Balland showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Balland's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists in France and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. At the age of 12, she won first prize in the prestigious Concours National des Jeunes Violonistes, a national competition for young violinists in France. After her success in the competition, Balland began performing in concerts throughout France and Europe. She quickly gained a reputation as a rising star in the classical music world and was invited to perform with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2003, Balland made her debut at the Salzburg Festival, one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in the world.
