Jacob Gade was a Danish composer and violinist who is best known for his composition "Jalousie," which became one of the most popular and recognizable pieces of music in the world. Born on November 29, 1879, in Vejle, Denmark, Gade showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of six. His father was a blacksmith and his mother was a seamstress, but they recognized their son's talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. It was later recorded by numerous artists and became one of the most popular pieces of music in the world, with over 150 million copies sold.
