He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Borjesson showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Borjesson's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, he had already won several local competitions and was performing in public. In 1997, Borjesson was accepted into the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Professor Lars Sellergren. During his time at the college, Borjesson honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. In 2003, Borjesson graduated from the Royal College of Music with top honors and was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. At Juilliard, Borjesson studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. During his time at Juilliard, Borjesson participated in several competitions and won numerous awards. In 2005, he won the Juilliard Concerto Competition and was given the opportunity to perform with the Juilliard Orchestra at Lincoln Center. The performance was a huge success, and Borjesson received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. In 2006, Borjesson graduated from Juilliard with a Master of Music degree and was awarded the prestigious William Petschek Piano Scholarship. He then went on to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Logan Skelton. During his time at the University of Michigan, Borjesson continued to participate in competitions and won several awards, including the University of Michigan Concerto Competition and the Gilmore Young Artist Award. He also performed in several major venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. In 2010, Borjesson graduated from the University of Michigan with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and was awarded the prestigious Rackham Graduate School Distinguished Dissertation Award for his research on the music of Franz Liszt. Since then, Borjesson has established himself as one of the leading pianists of his generation. He has performed in major venues around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. He has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Borjesson's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Franz Liszt, and has been praised for his ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of Liszt's music.
