The London Metropolitan Orchestra (LMO) is a classical music ensemble based in London, England. The orchestra was founded in 1994 by conductor and composer Andy Brown, who remains its artistic director to this day. The LMO is made up of some of the finest musicians in London, many of whom are also members of other prestigious orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra's core members include violinists David Juritz and Thomas Gould, cellist Caroline Dale, and pianist John Lenehan. Over the years, the LMO has performed with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Adele, Beyoncé, and Elton John. The orchestra has also recorded soundtracks for numerous films, television shows, and video games, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Crown, and Assassin's Creed. One of the LMO's most notable performances was at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony, where they accompanied a performance by the Spice Girls. The orchestra has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican Centre, and the O2 Arena.
